The roots of UAB “Oribalt Vilnius” – the company “Oriola”, which has more than 100 years of experience in wholesale pharmaceutical markets in Finland, Sweden and the Baltic countries. The wholesale business in Sweden started in 1907, while “Oriola Oy” was established in Finland in 1948. Wholesale trade business in the Baltic countries began to develop in the 90's. In order to become one of the strongest wholesale trademark “Oriola”, the company has completed a number of important changes.
Facts
1993. “Oriola” established its office in Vilnius, Lithuania.
1994. A wholesale distribution license was obtained and wholesale trade started to be developed.
1996. First warehouse opened on the premises of the Lithuanian film studios.
2000. The company moved to new pharmaceutical wholesale business adapted warehouses in Lithuania.
2004. ”Oriola” reorganized its activities and began to provide third-party pharmaceutical logistics services to pharmaceutical manufacturers.
2006. After separating from the “Orion” group, “Oriola” became part of the “Oriola-KD” concern. “Orion” corporation acquired a controlling stake in “Kronans Droghandel AB”, the second largest distributor of medicines in Sweden. “Oriola” and “Kronan Droghandel AB” were merged.
2008. “Oriola-KD” started operating in Russia.
2017. The corporation hands over its business in the Baltic States to a holding company "Oribalt Group" registered in Latvia.
